Scott Marshall | Lead Pastor

Scott has served as a pastor for almost 25 years and loves what he does. Leading people toward Jesus and into a better tomorrow is what excites him. He is married to his college sweetheart, Andrea, and together they have 3 energetic kids—Hudson, Corban & Karrington. Scott loves spending time with his family, doing almost anything outdoors, working out (stress relief!) and trying not to lose digits doing woodworking and creative projects, while also working to keep his street cred as a foodie.

Larry Page | Student & Operations Pastor

Larry Page (LP) has served as a Student Pastor for 25+ years. He graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University (BA double major in Religion & English) & Baker University (Masters of Liberal Arts) a long, long time ago in a galaxy far away. His daily pursuit, apart from Jesus, is delicious meats, cold Mountain Dew, strong coffee and authentic southern sweet tea! If he isn’t hanging out with students & youth staff, you can find him making jerky, grilling meat or building something.

What drives LP is to point students and their families in Jesus’ direction and see Christ fill their lives.

LP and Crystal have been married for almost 30 years and have two children: daughter, Lauren and her husband, Jeff & son, Alex and his wife, Lydia.

Aaron VanStrien | Kids Pastor

Aaron is a 2007 graduate of MNU.  He graduated with a degree in ministry. He has served in churches in Kansas City, Illinois, and Indiana. He came on staff at Wichita First in October of 2020.  He loves his family (wife Diane married since 2006, daughter Naomi 14 and son Liam 11), burgers and Green Bay Packers football.
Aaron’s favorite part about kids’ ministry is connecting with the kids and their families. He hopes that the kids will know God loves them and that they will grow in their relationship with Him. One thing he wants our kids to know is that walking with God can be fun and full of adventure!

David Curry | Groups Director

David is a 1990 graduate of SNU (Southern Nazarene University).  He graduated with a degree in Business Management. He has served in various roles at Wichita First as a volunteer since he & his wife Tami moved to Wichita in 1995. They have 2 adult children–Anna and Caleb (wife Shiloh).
David’s passion is connecting people in groups to do life better together.

Brittany Ulmer | Assistant Student Pastor

Brittany has served as the Assistant Student Pastor for the past 10 years. She graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 2013 with a degree in Youth and Family Ministry. She is passionate about the potential of students and loves working with them through the most formative years of their faith. Brittany and her husband Trevor have been married for 10 years and are the proud owners of two dogs (Lucy & Piper). When they aren’t at home or at the dog park, Brittany and Trevor love to travel, spend time with family, be outdoors, and play board games.

Bryan Kirk | Associate Arts Director

Bryan is married to Jenny, both are graduates of Friends University in Wichita. Bryan has been the Associate Arts Director since 2006 and Jenny serves as one of the worship leaders at Wichita First.

Bethany Bond | Communications Director

Bethany Bond is our Communications Director. She is a graduate of Southern Nazarene University (2011) and moved to the Wichita area in 2019. She has been married to David for 12 years and together they have three girls. Eliza Mae (7) Scottie Jane (5) and Maisie Lynn (4). 

Debbie Dungan | Facilities Manager

Debbie leads our facilities team. She is married to Frank and they have three adult kids and 4 grandkids. She has been a part of the Wichita First family for over 30 years. Debbie and Frank serve in multiple roles here at Wichita First.

Lea Rankin | Office Manager

Lea has been on staff in several support roles. She leads our Office and is married to Gene. Together, they have three kids Allen who lives in Chicago, Andrew in college in Illinois, and Alexis, a care giver for special needs students.
