Wichita First Kids exists to point kids and families to the heart of God. We do this by creating safe, engaging worship experiences for children from birth through 5th grade, helping them build meaningful connections in small groups, and leading them to serve others with love. At the core of everything we do are these three truths we want every child and parent to know:

Elementary Schedule
10:45 – 11:00 a.m. Free play in the elementary space (games, video games, air hockey, foosball, board games, crafts)
11:00 – 11:30 a.m. 2nd service intro, Bible story, and worship
11:30 – 12:00 p.m. Groups (This includes groups for 1-2 graders and a separate group for 3-5 graders.)

Yes. Registration is important for safety and security but we work to keep it simple and straightforward, we need some information to know how best to care for your kids. You are welcome to register when you arrive or you can Pre-Register HERE.
We believe that the church is for everyone, even for kids who have special needs. We strive to make accommodations for every kid if you would like to discuss special needs or accommodations for your kid further feel free to EMAIL Aaron or fill out our INTAKE FORM.
There are designated and separate check-ins for Early Childhood (birth-kindergarten) and Elementary (1-5 Grade). If you don’t know where to go to check in someone from our Welcome Team will happily walk you to the correct area. Once at the check-in you and your kid will both receive a unique matching tag that will help us easily identify families.
In the event that your kid needs you during service you will receive a text from one of our staff members.

All workers must have attended Wichita First for a minimum of 6 months consistently.

All workers must complete an application.

All workers must provide two non-family references.

All workers must complete a background check. (18 and over)

All workers must read the kids’ ministry handbook.

All workers must sign a kids ministry covenant.

All workers must watch and complete worksheets for a series of 3 safety training videos.

A minimum of two trained workers per room.

Our safety policies are reviewed with the team annually.

Important reminders about safety are provided to the team throughout the year.

All workers must update background checks every two years.

Random safety checks of spaces are completed while kids are on site.

All kids’ areas remain locked during each service and are monitored with internal cameras and access features.

All areas are equipped with cameras to monitor the spaces and keep kids safe.
