At Wichita First Church of the Nazarene we believe that the very power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead and defeated sin and death forever is ALIVE in us!!
POWER KIDS is our kid’s ministry for all boys and girls in the 1st-6th grade and we are learning to live by the POWER KIDS code:
P—Prepare to learn about God
O—Open to what God has for me
W—Willing to follow God’s lead
E—Eager to serve where needed
R—Ready to share about God
THE “WIN”
Our goal is build a strong foundation of faith and make disciples that are making disciples. We want to continually find ways to serve others, invite others and engage others by obeying the command that Jesus gave to “Love one another, AS I HAVE LOVED you” (John 13:34). This is how those around us will KNOW we are His disciples (John 13:35). The fruits of our labor will be to:
- Extend Grace
- Show Love
- Embrace Community
THE “WHAT”
We are firm believers in developing the spiritual formation of kids and establish some foundational catalysts for faith. We work to accomplish this by developing Providential Relationships, sharing Practical Teaching, walking through Pivotal Circumstances together, teaching Private Disciplines and encouraging Personal Ministry to others. We achieve these by:
- Impactful teaching during Power Hour and Engage
- Selecting meaningful content that “Makes Disciples”
- Encouraging service—both inside our church and outside our walls
- Designing irresistible environments that POWER KIDS love to attend
- Commissioning strong volunteer leaders to use the gifts God has given them

POWER KIDS have the opportunity to gather multiple times a week—we hope you can find a time to join us!!

Power Hour (Sunday School)—9:30 a.m. – 10:10 a.m.
Kids Choir—10:10 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Engage (Kids Worship Gathering)—10:30 a.m. – Noon
WEDNESDAY EVENING
Intermission—6:30 p.m. – 7:45 p.m.
